Biography

Escape and Suspense! (www.escape-suspense.com) focuses on the two mid-Twentieth century CBS radio series of the same names. These two anthology series demonstrated a mastery of story-telling with radio-plays that ranged from horror stories to adventure tales to radio noir.

Suspense ran on CBS from 1942 to 1962, and broadcast over 900 episodes. Its sister show Escape ran from 1947 to 1954, and broadcast over 200 episodes.

Between 1949-1954, Suspense also aired as a television series. Today, only about a third of its 245 episodes have survived. These episodes are explored on our companion site -- Suspense Television: Murder, Mystery and Spark Plugs. (www.suspensetelevision.com)

Escape and Suspense! is usually updated three times a week. Suspense Television is updated once or twice a week.
